Our silver-filled, pro-quality silver-bonded wire is 6% fine silver (.999) over a brass core. Available in 6 different gauges, silver-filled wire can be manipulated like sterling silver and can be wrapped and soldered. “Dead-Soft” wire is very pliable and can be easily bent into any number of shapes. It will not hold a shape in instances where it would be subject to tension, such as on a clasp. “Half-Hard” wire is pliable, but unlike “Dead-Soft” wire, it will maintain an intricate shape under tension."
